TEAGASC WALSH SCHOLARSHIPS Ph.D. OPPORTUNITY: “Mitigating emissions from livestock systems”

The Walsh Scholarship is part of a joint research project between Teagasc, Johnstown Castle and the Department of Food Business and Development, Cork University Business School at University College Cork. The scholarship will focus on developing mathematical models and applying simulation/optimisation methods to develop strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from livestock production and determine their cost-effectiveness. The mitigation measures identified will be supplied to those responsible for developing national GHG inventories.
The project is supported by the European research area network (EraNet) project “MELS”.
