Identifying how collection of activity data for emission inventories can be improved: the examination of the applied methodologies confirmed their importance for generating accurate and transparent livestock emission inventories. In particular, in a recent study from the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy the impact of the IPCC 1996 and 2006 Guidelines on inventory reporting of livestock emissions was assessed.
